Latimer attended the Class C contest between third seed Tuckahoe High School and No. 2 seed Haldane High School.
Haldane prevailed in overtime by the score of 63-54.
After weeks of negotiations, Latimer brokered a deal to keep the Section 1 Tournament Semifinals at the County Center.
